It is no surprise that winter in Chicago can be, well, cold and long. However, this winter feels like a record breaker that has dragged on since October. More likely it started in November, but it seems like it is never going to end.
So come February, I am all to eager to grab my camera and photography something, anything other than the never-ending winter wonderland that have enveloped us. Saturday, despite fighting a hard cold, I put on my macro lens and set off for the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in the Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago. Not only for some much needed warmth and sunshine, but to photograph one of natures jewels…butterflies!
