Irish Countryside

During our stay in Ireland we drove….a lot!  One of the most terrifying things I must say.  Compared to American roads, Irish roads, with the exception of the ones beginning “M”, are frighteningly narrow.  Pretty much only as wide as the car you are driving in and this is compounded by the break-neck speed limits.

Thankfully, people are infinitely more forgiving of tourists and how slow we drive than they are in America, so that was a huge relief.  The other upside is the ability to pull off the road and explore a little when you see something really cool!!  These are some pictures from a couple such stops

Anecdotally, I was so mortified by driving there that when we finally made it from the plane to the rental car, I had a total breakdown fearing I was sure to crash at some point!  I am pleased to report that I did not.
