My dream cross country trip would be by car – a really comfortable car, possibly even an RV! I actually mapped out a route once that took me from Illinois across the north to Washington, then weave my way down through Oregon and California then zigzag around the Rockies and southwest for several months. If you had the time and means, when you know there are scenes like these on the horizon, why on earth would you not drive?!

I totally agree moondustwriter! A week or two weeks just isn’t enough to know a place well enough to completely capture its soul!
I might need to rethink my vehicle of choice for this trip and change it to your photos instead!

We have gone cross country (NJ to CA) and are so glad we did. We pulled a 27 foot travel trailer. It was an adventure of a life time!
That sounds awesome, I would love to do an epic road trip like that someday, then do one in Europe!!
